Success Kid is an internet meme in which a baby squeezes a handful of sand with a determined facial expression. It started in 2007 and eventually became known as the "Success Kid". The popularity of the picture prompted CNN to describe Sammy Griner, the boy pictured, as "probably the most famous baby on the Internet". In addition to popular social media usage, the image was licensed for commercial use and used by the White House to promote immigration reform.
